Transfer Rumours: Saido Berahino could leave West Brom

Could Dani Alves be Premier League bound?

Saido Berahino is a name on many lips at the moment and West Brom boss Alan Irvine and said that he wouldn't stand in his way if a big club came in for the England U21 star.

Manchester United's hopes of signing Kevin Strootman have been hit after Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini ruled out a move.

The Dutch midfielder has been on United's radar for a number of transfer windows and the club were thought to have been pushing to sign him over the summer. However it's unlikely a bid in January will be a success for the Red Devils, as Sabatini has described the playmaker, who is currently struggling with injury, as an "important player" who they don't want to lose.

Reports from the Daily Mail suggest Liverpool will struggle to extend Raheem Sterling's deal at Anfield, with Real Madrid still waiting in the wings. The England international has caught the eye of Los Blancos, who are believed to be preparing a bid for the 19-year-old starlet in the next transfer window.

Moving on to The Sun, and the paper claims West Brom boss Alan Irvine would not stand in the way of highly-rated striker Saido Berahino, should a big club come in for the England under-21 international. Berahino grabbed the headlines with a brace for the Baggies in a 4-0 win over Burnley on Sunday and his performance won't have gone unnoticed. Irvine is keen to keep the starlet at The Hawthorns but seemingly if the right price comes in for the 21-year-old, they may allow the Burundi-born talent to leave for pastures new.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mirror is reporting Barcelona wing-back Dani Alves is open to a move to the Premier League next season after a successful spell at the Nou Camp. The Brazil international was linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain last summer but a deal never materialised for the 31-year-old. However Alves' time with the Blaugrana appears to be edging closer to an end with the English top flight looking like his next destination.

Finally, England forward Daniel Sturridge is in contract talks with Liverpool over extending his stay on Merseyside. Having had a strong campaign last term, the former Manchester City and Chelsea star has emerged as one of the top strikers in the Premier League. The Reds are now keen to tie the Three Lions star down to a new deal in order to deter any would-be suitors for the 25-year-old.
