Opta Stats: More unhappy Mondays await Man United

Man United conceded five times in their previous away encounter

Opta's insights flag up goals at the Etihad Stadium, a Southampton clean sheet and a Man United wobble...

Man City v Tottenham (Saturday, 12:45, BT Sport 1)

The last six Premier League games between Man City and Spurs produced 30 goals

That's an average of five strikes per meeting and these clubs delivered at least three in all of those, with Man City thrashing Tottenham 6-0 and 5-1 in last season's double header. The champions scored a mighty seven in the previous domestic home match against Sheffield Wednesday, while Spurs have averaged over a goal a game on their Premier League travels under Mauricio Pochettino.

Recommended Bet: Back over 2.5 goals @ 1.695/7

Arsenal v Hull (Saturday, 15:00)

Arsenal have won their last five Premier League games against Hull

The Gunners haven't erred against Hull in the Premier League since a shock defeat at the Emirates in the initial collision in 2008, but they may have to wait for the breakthrough. The Tigers were level at the interval in three of the four fixtures that they have lost this term, as well as the last one that they won and the last one that they drew. Arsenal are yet to lead at half time as hosts in the league.

Recommended Bet: Back the half-time draw/full-time Arsenal win @ 4.94/1

Southampton v Sunderland (Saturday, 15:00)

No side in the top four tiers have conceded as few goals as Southampton (five) this season

Sunderland's often-criticised forwards enjoyed a near-perfect performance right before the international break as Steven Fletcher scored two and Connor Wickham grabbed the other in a 3-1 victory over Stoke. However, they disappoint more regularly than they net away, firing blanks in their two most recent road trips, which were against the division's bottom two Burnley and QPR.

Recommended Bet: Back Southampton to keep a clean sheet @ 2.26/5

West Brom v Man United (Monday, 20:00, Sky Sports 1)

Man United have won just one of their last five Premier League games (W1 D1 L3) on Mondays

A surprisingly poor record when afforded the Monday Night Football treatment isn't the only reason to question Man United's prospects of three points despite being priced at odds-on. They are also without an away triumph under Louis van Gaal in four attempts against unremarkable opponents. They have drawn at Sunderland and Burnley and lost heavily at MK Dons (0-4) and Leicester (3-5).

Recommended Bet: Lay Man United to win @ 1.784/5
