Ravel Morrison wanted by Cardiff - Monday's Transfer Rumours

Could Ravel Morrison be dropping down to the Championship?

Lots of Manchester United talk as per usual but a former Manchester United starlet may be set to drop down a division to rebuild his reputation.

Manchester United are preparing to step up their transfer business with bids for Daley Blind and Angel Di Maria, according to reports.

The London Evening Standard reports Van Gaal is hoping to link up with some of his former Netherlands contingent at Manchester United and is preparing a bid for Ajax left-back Blind, while he also remains interested in Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman.

United are also expected to make a move for Di Maria after PSG pulled out of a deal to sign the Real Madrid winger and the Daily Star believe the club are willing to fork out 50million for the Argentine.

Van Gaal has reportedly told six of his players to find new clubs before the end of the summer transfer window.

According to the Daily Mail, Marouane Fellaini, Nani, Anderson, Will Keane, Rafael and Javier Hernandez were all told they have no future at Old Trafford at private meetings with Van Gaal at the club's Carrington training ground over the weekend.

United winger Wilfried Zaha is also expected to leave the club with Newcastle United the favourites to land him for 7million, according to the Sunday People. Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest and West Ham are all interested in a loan deal for the 21-year-old.

Arsenal are weighing up a bid for Liverpool's Danish centre-back Daniel Agger following the sale of Thomas Vermaelen to Barcelona.

The Daily Express claim Arsene Wenger is ready to move for Agger who wants to move to the Emirates ahead of Tottenham Hotspur after falling out of favour at Anfield.

There could be new arrivals at Southampton with the Daily Mirror reporting they want Steaua Bucharest centre-back Florin Gardos to replace Dejan Lovren and are also monitoring Sporting Lisbon left-back Marcos Rojo.

The same newspaper reports Saints are considering a loan bid for Arsenal midfielder Serge Gnabry, who is wanted by Crystal Palace and Newcastle.

Cardiff City are preparing a shock bid for controversial West Ham United midfielder Ravel Morrison and are prepared to double his 15,000-a-week wages, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Morrison currently has a court case hanging over his head but Cardiff have reportedly made an enquiry for the England Under-21 star and are preparing a test-the-water bid of 3million.

Finally, the Guardian claims Sunderland have submitted a 2.5million bid for Brighton winger Will Buckley but will face competition for his signature from West Bromwich Albion, who are also interested in West Ham's Matt Jarvis as they look for a winger.
