L.A Galaxy vs San Jose Earthquakes
Saturday 03:30

With a festival feel expected at the StubHub Centre, Cali rivals Galaxy and Earthquakes meet for the second 'California Clasico' of the season in our early hours of Saturday morning.

With both sides coming off the back of two wins, if it wasn't for their differing league positions you could argue that these are the two form teams in MLS as we approach match-day 20.

With only four losses this whole campaign, Bruce Arena's Galaxy are beginning to look like the real deal once again, although this is of little surprise to the rest of MLS.

With the tightest defence by far, Los Galacticos have stifled many an attack this campaign, and with star man Robbie Keane looking dangerous as ever in front of goal, the Galaxy are looking good in their pursuit of early pace-setters Seattle Sounders.

With Keane partnering the impressive youngster Gyasi Zardes up top, the duo have made a noticeable impact in recent weeks, with a combined nine goals being scored in their last four outings. Now, with a favourable run of fixtures, the pair will be aiming to propel their side past Real Salt Lake with the noticeable games in hand they have on the two sides placed above them.

Despite racking up two of their lowly six wins in the last fortnight, Mark Watson's Earthquakes are yet to send any tremors up the Western Conference. Sitting eighth of a possible nine, San Jose are tied on 23 points with a similarly struggling Chivas.

However, with two or three games in hand over a majority of the teams above them, hope still remains within the 'Goonies' camp that this season can still provide some success.

Back in June, a second half Zardes strike was enough for Galaxy to take all three points away from the Buck Shaw Stadium in the season's first California Clasico, and with Galaxy's strike force looking out of this world, expect the Earthquakes surprisingly sturdy defence to come unstuck in a packed StubHub Centre.

MLS veteran Chris Wondolowski will remain the main threat for the visitors, but with the third lowest goal tally in the whole of the MLS, the Earthquakes are going to have to take any chances they get to cause an upset in Cali.

Mjallby vs Orebro
Saturday 15:00

With both sides wrestling to stay out of the dreaded drop zone, it's the definition of a six-pointer as Orebro make the trip south to Hallevik. With both sides being saved from the threat of bottom spot thanks to a hapless Brommapojkarna, three points for either could see them rise as high as 11th in the Allsvenskan if other results go their way - quite the incentive for this Saturday afternoon clash.

Averaging at just one goal a game, it is clear where the problems start for the hosts. In a squad that boasts most of their goals from attacking midfielders, the lack of an out-and-out marksman has clearly put Mjallby at a disadvantage this campaign.

With lone striker Marcus Ekenburg only finding the net twice in fourteen appearances, the Mjallby stalwart's form has been on a downward spiral since his 20-goal season in 2009, and with a lack of alternatives offering a similar role the 34-year-old will feel the pressure in this season's relegation scrap.

However, it's not all doom and gloom for last year's eleventh placed side. With only five points separating eight places, a run of form, however unlikely that seems, could get them out of trouble in a matter of weeks, as they look to stay in the top division for a fifth straight campaign, under new coach Anders Linderoth.

In similar circumstances, the visitors arrive at the Strandvallen without a league win since the end of... April! That's eleven Allsvenskan outings since a 3-2 win against Atvidaberg, and with morale at an expected low, Alexander Axen, who has been the coach for just three weeks, will struggle to undo the damage left by sacked Lard Jacobsson.

Also struggling for any sort of attacking consistency, Orebro's inexperienced strike force have failed to make any headlines this campaign. Just averaging slightly better than their opponents on Saturday, a half-decent defence is what has kept them out of even more trouble this season, with valuable draws being carved out during this horrific run.

A classic this won't be, but with two sides scrapping for their lives at the foot of a competitive Allsvenskan, expect mistakes, drama and un-missable action in Hallevik.
