The Big Wednesday Multiple: Champions League banker

Can these two lead Chelsea to Champions League glory?

It's that time of the week where Paul Robinson selects a home win, an away win, a match to go over 2.5 goals and a match to go under 2.5 goals. Here are his selections...

Bet 1: PSG (HOME) @ 1.22 (2/9) - Live on Sky Sports Interactive at 19:45 GMT

French champions, PSG, are finally getting into their groove this season and they've now won their last four games in a row. It wasn't that they had been losing, they had just drawn too many times for a team of their quality.

Laurent Blanc's side are top of their Champions League group at the halfway stage and they will be desperate to stay there to secure an easier last 16 tie. Winning this evening should be a formality, even though they only won the reverse fixture 1-0 a fortnight ago.

Opponents, APOEL, have performed rather admirably in this competition so far considering they've faced Barcelona, PSG and Ajax. They've managed to earn a point and conceded only three goals.

Giorgos Donis' men will keep it tight, but just like in Cyprus, the quality of Edison Cavani and co should break their resistance.

Bet 2: Chelsea (AWAY) @ 1.3 (3/10) - Live on Sky Sports 1 at 19:45 GMT

Another easy winner should come in Slovenia as Chelsea will likely coast past Maribor. The visitors beat them 6-0 at Stamford Bridge two weeks ago and they are still undefeated in all competitions this term.

Diego Costa is fit again, but even if he doesn't play, the ageing, Didier Drogba, has proved that he can still score goals at the top level. I wouldn't even be concerned by their lack of clean sheets this season, as with so much firepower at their disposal, they are scoring plenty of goals themselves.

The hosts will be aiming to finish third in the group and qualify for the Europa League. That will likely be determined by their following two fixtures with Sporting Lisbon and Schalke though. Ante imunda's players just don't have the quality to live with The Blues, even with home advantage.

Bet 3: Man City v CSKA Moscow (Over 2.5 goals) @ 1.44 (4/9) - Live on Sky Sports 5 at 19:45 GMT

If ever a match had goals written all over it, it was this one. Manchester City have faced CSKA Moscow three times in the last 13 months and the net has bulged 14 times. All three matches saw over 2.5 goals land and star striker, Sergio Aguero, couldn't be in better form.

The Argentine has banged in nine in his last eight appearances and with City desperate to win tonight, he will definitely start. David Silva may be missing, but Samir Nasri is back from injury and he could see plenty of game time.

The Russians may have lost six of their last seven Champions League fixtures but they only failed to score once during that period. They scored in all three of their fixtures against City and Leonid Slutsky's side showed great courage to come from two down to draw in Arena Khimki a fortnight ago.

Bet 4: Sporting Lisbon v Schalke (Under 2.5 goals) @ 2.0 (1/1) - Live on Sky Sports Interactive at 19:45 GMT

Sporting Lisbon are bottom of their Champions League group having picked up just one point from a possible nine. Two of their three fixtures have come on the road though and they were unlucky to lose to Chelsea on home soil earlier on in the campaign.

While their match with Schalke finished 4-3 in Germany last time, prior to that their two games had gone under 2.5 goals. Four of their five at Estdio Jos Alvalade this season have rewarded under 2.5 backers and they kept plenty of clean sheets there last year.

Schalke are in pole position to finish as runners up to Chelsea as they have won one and drawn two of their three games. A point in Portugal would be considered a great result for Robert Di Matteo's men and I think the Italian will set them up with a degree of caution.

Like their opponents, two of their three in this competition have finished with two goals or fewer being scored and I can't see a repeat of the crazy 4-3 from last time.
