If QPR sack Harry, who might they turn to?

Could di Canio be on QPR's radar?

Harry Redknapp's job seems in some jeopardy but should they remove him, who would they turn to?

Two wins in 10 games since a return to the Premier League has left QPR in a precarious position and put Harry Redknapp under pressure.

The man known as 'Harry Houdini' by some tabloids has made a name by helping clubs avoid the drop, but as he approaches the closing stages of his career, has that reputation started to slip?

The R's have shipped 20 goals in their 10 league games so far this season, the worst record in the division, and if that rate continues a change could be on the cards at Loftus Road.

But who could Rangers turn to? And who would fancy the job?

Well, chairman Tony Fernandes has dipped into his pocket handsomely in the last few seasons, so funds wouldn't appear to be an issue, so there would be plenty of takers.

Former Manchester United boss David Moyes is still out of a job and keen for a fresh challenge, but the R's post may be below his expectations and the Scot has hinted that he may look abroad for the opportunity to relaunch his career.

Ian Holloway, currently in charge of Championship Millwall, has both played and managed at Loftus Road in the past and he rarely sticks around too long in one place, so he could be a candidate.

However, Fernandes appears to be a man who likes a higher profile name than Holloway, so the field could be narrowed down severely if he chooses to follow that path once again.

Paolo Di Canio fits the profile of the sort of man who could step in, but his departure from Sunderland has left an almost indelible mark on his CV which surely means he will struggle to work in the Premier League any time soon.

Wales head coach Chris Coleman is another man with plenty of London connections from his time in charge at Fulham, having also played for the Cottagers and Crystal Palace.

However, with the Welsh having taken seven points from a possible nine from their opening three qualifiers for Euro 2016, there seems little chance that Coleman would jump ship for a Premier League relegation battle.

The currently out-of-work Chris Hughton also deserves a mention, while Steve McClaren was a coach with the R's before heading to Derby County, but, having lost out to Rangers in the play-off final last season, must surely see that he has unfinished business with the Rams.

All of which leaves the one man who appears on paper to be the outstanding candidate, not just for the Loftus Road outfit, but any club in peril in the top flight - Tony Pulis.

Last season, having ended a seven-year stint in charge at Stoke City, the Welshman took on the job of trying to turn Crystal Palace's season around and left Selhurst Park in the summer with his reputation enhanced still further.

The Eagles eventually stayed up with an incredible 12 points to spare, well away from trouble in 11th place in the table. Pulis guided Palace to 12 wins in 28 games during his time at the club, with his side sealing their safety with an incredible five-match winning streak, which included a 1-0 win over Chelsea and victories at both Everton and West Ham.

And just to put the seal on his credentials, imagine the motivational powers needed to inspire his already safe side to score three times in the final 11 minutes at home to Liverpool to snatch a 3-3 draw and ruin the Reds' title hopes.

If Rangers do decide to send Redknapp packing, Pulis is clearly the man for the job.
