Euro 2016 Qualifying Tips: Germany won't waste time

Germany have won just once in four games since the World Cup

Michael Lintorn expects an early goal in Germany, no clean sheets in Hungary and a dull first-half in Serbia...

Germany v Gibraltar

Match Odds: Germany 1.011/100, Gibraltar 840.0839/1, The Draw 110.0109/1

While there were jokes at Germany's expense last month about drifting to also-ran status in Group D after a loss in Poland and draw at home to Republic of Ireland, there isn't as potentially one-sided contest in the whole Euro 2016 qualifying process as this. The world champions host a Gibraltar side whose competitive record reads: P3 W0 D0 L3 F0 A17, with all damage inflicted since September.

With Germany overwhelming favourites in every market and over 9.5 goals the lowest market in which the over option is the outsider, the best approach isn't obvious. However, it should be around 1.684/6 for the deadlock to be broken within ten minutes, and Gibraltar have been breached within 11 in all three of their qualifiers. It was the sixth against Republic of Ireland and ninth against Georgia.

Recommended Bet: Back the first goal to be scored within 0-10 minutes @ 1.684/6

Hungary v Finland

Match Odds: Hungary 2.3411/8, Finland 3.613/5, The Draw 3.39/4

Hungary and Finland are tied on four points from three games in Group F, five points behind the how-on-earth-did-they-do-that faultless leaders Northern Ireland in a group where the majority of the teams are evenly matched.

Both teams have scored in four of Hungary and Finland's six combined qualifiers to date and that looks like the most attractive punting option. Hungary have found the net in six competitive home fixtures in a row and conceded in five of those, while Finland fired past four of the previous five nations who they visited in qualifying action.

Recommended Bet: Back both teams to score @ 2.1411/10

Serbia v Denmark

Match Odds: Serbia 2.245/4, Denmark 3.9n/a, The Draw 3.39/4

Four of the five completed matches in Group I were level at the interval and Serbia and Albania were heading the same way in their heated encounter before it was brought to a 42nd-minute conclusion.

Neither Serbia nor Denmark have scored a first-half goal either, hinting at a 0-0 half-time scoreline. Indeed, Serbia have gone four games in total without striking before the break if you include the 42 minutes against Albania. Denmark have notched before the 46th minute once in seven 2014 outings.

Recommended Bet: Back the half time score to be 0-0 @ 2.68/5
