Martin Palermo is sporting new colours these days
Paul Robinson expects the goals to flow in Argentina tonight as Arsenal take on Boca Juniors in the Primera Division.
Arsenal de Sarandi v Boca Juniors
Monday November 17, 00:30 GMT
It's been a mixed campaign thus far for Arsenal as while they remain unbeaten at home from eight fixtures in front of their own fans, a paltry one point from a possible 21 on the road leaves them down in 12th position in the league.
Martn Palermo will be delighted to have his players back at Estadio Viaducto tonight as he tries to mastermind a win over the club he scored nearly 200 goals for. It's the goal-side of things we're concentrating on here as with 16 scored and 19 conceded, their matches this year are averaging 2.33 goals per 90 minutes. Just under half have rewarded under 2.5 layers and the last two meetings between this pair finished 4-2 and 3-2.
Boca Juniors are on a good run of form at the moment as they've won four of their last five in the league and also made it through to the semis of the Copa Sudamericana, where they'll face bitter-rivals, River Plate, over a mouth-watering two legs.
New man in charge, Rodolfo Arruabarrena, has revitalised a team that was going a bit stale under the former regime and they've now racked up 13 goals on their last seven outings. Even away from La Bombonera, 'Xeneizes' have only failed to find the back of the net once since the month of April and that has contributed to their last two away games going over 2.5 goals.
A strong home record takes on a strong away one and while that can sometimes lead to a 0-0, I quite like the chances of goals instead. That's why, with under 2.5 trading at around the 1.645/8 mark, I have to make it my lay of the day.
