Arsene Wenger's Arsenal are one of a few teams playing four league games in February
Last weekend fell on the change of the month, and as a result our February Monthly Outright markets make for fascinating reading. Luke Moore takes a look...
The fixture list plays a massive part in this month's Premier League Outright markets, where bettors can back which teams they think will fare best (or indeed worst) in the calendar month.
Because Arsenal and Manchester United both play four times in the month (with Arsenal already registering a huge win over Aston Villa on the first day of the month) they have both been inserted at the top of the betting - they currently sit at 3.02/1 and 3.55/2 respectively.
Swansea's shock victory over Southampton at St Mary's has seen their price shorten to 4.57/2 and they sit at just 1.834/5 to be among the top four teams for the month of February only. And with fixtures coming up against Burnley, West Brom and Sunderland, it's easy to see why.
Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool all only play three times this month, and their prices to be the top team are reflected by that. That said, if you fancy Arsenal, United or the Swans to slip up, 23.022/1 on both Chelsea and City must look pretty tempting. Liverpool are priced at a rather more fanciful 126.0n/a, largely due to their difficult crop of games - Everton away, Tottenham at home and Southampton away with FA Cup and Europa League fixtures also thrown into the mix.
At the wrong end of the table, Burnley look likely to finish bottom for the month; matches away at both Chelsea and Louis van Gaal's United mean they have a tough assignment. The only side that look likely to pip them to that rather dubious honour are favourites-for-bottom Leicester who face Crystal Palace, Arsenal and Everton. Nigel Pearson's side are 5.59/2, while Burnley are 7.06/1.
