Gordon Elliott: The thoughts on my two Worcester runners

Gordon sends two to Worcester today

Gordon sends a couple of runners to Worcester this afternoon, one of which is returning after a wind operation. Get his exclusive comments here.

14:50 Worcester - South Wing

He has a couple of runs over fences under his belt and the reason we're sending him over to Worcester today is in the hope of getting better ground. The frustration with the weather continues - we went to Perth recently expecting good ground and it changed very quickly. Hopefully that won't happen here this afternoon. It's just a small field and though one of his rivals (Bobowen) is chasing a five-timer, he's in good shape at home and we're hopeful of a good run.

16:20 Worcester - Trendelenburg

He has been a bit disappointing over fences this season but he has had a wind operation since his last run (Down Royal, June 22) and hopefully that will prompt a return to form. On his best form he looks well treated and the drop back to hurdling shouldn't be a problem. He's also a little more versatile in terms of ground, so that won't be an issue and, touch wood, he should go very close.
