Crystal Palace v Liverpool: Play Betfair's Ultimate XI for the chance to win a free ВЈ10 Bet

Will Jordan Henderson be your pick for most passes?

Betfair's popular Ultimate XI returns this weekend for the FA Cup tie between Crystal Palace and Liverpool. Read on for your chance to win a free 10 bet...

The FA Cup returns this weekend and Betfair have once more partnered up with WhoScored.com ahead of Liverpool's trip to Crystal Palace.

The visitors will hoping to exact revenge on the Eagles after defeat at Selhurst Park earlier in the season and to make what should be an entertaining encounter even more appealing we're offering you the chance to win a free 10 bet courtesy of our Ultimate XI fantasy football game.

To be in with a chance of winning all you have to do is pick what you think will be the best combined team between the two sides based on WhoScored.com's statistically calculated player ratings, selecting a formation and line-up from the squads provided. The ratings from your XI will be added up to give an overall points score, with additional means to boost your chances.

Each user is given six tokens to allocate to players of their choice: anytime scorer, first scorer, assist provider, most passes, most tackles and man of the match. Successfully match the token to any player and their rating will double. The top 10 customers in the leaderboard will then receive a free 10 bet each!

With double points all important WhoScored offer their tips for each token, taking injuries into account.

Each team's highest rated player according to WhoScored.com may well be sidelined through injury, with Mile Jedinak (7.64) returning from Asian Cup duty with an ankle injury and Raheem Sterling (7.40) perhaps in line to be rested having picked up a couple of knocks in recent weeks.

With that in mind James McArthur may well be an outside bet for your man of the match token. Aside from hitting the headlines as the victim of a quite bizarre altercation with Nigel Pearson the Scot has been turning out some superb performances since Alan Pardew arrived at the club. Indeed, the midfielder's rating over the five league matches since the new manager's appointment is up at 7.79.

In terms of an anytime scorer it's another Palace player that may well be worth considering. Liverpool fans are getting sick of the sight of Dwight Gayle, with the striker scoring in each of his previous three appearances against the Reds, notching four goals across those encounters. The 24-year-old has scored 10 goals in all competitions this season and with five of those coming from just three appearances in the cup he'll be hoping to prove to be the thorn in Liverpool's side once again.

With the likes of Daniel Sturridge, Sterling and Philippe Coutinho all perhaps in line to be rested at the weekend selecting any Liverpool players to score first may be a tough call.

One player, however, who has gone from strength to strength since netting his first goal for the club in the cup is Lazar Markovic, who may take up a more advanced position if Brendan Rodgers does decide to rotate his squad. The young Serbian has now opened the scoring in two of Liverpool's last four league matches.

In terms of the players who have picked up the most assists between the two sides this season it's Jordan Henderson who comes out on top with six. However, the England international is also the safest bet for your less risky 'most passes' token having averaged 57.9 per game in the Premier League this season.

With that in mind perhaps either of Crystal Palace's likely starting wingers on the day could lay on a goal if the Eagles look to play on the counter. Both Jason Puncheon and the returning Yannick Bolasie have registered four league assists this season, with the latter setting up a goal in each of his last two appearances against Saturday's opponents.

Finally we move on to the top tackler token and with Lucas and Jedinak both set to be sidelined the two most obvious candidates may be out of the running. In turn, a punt on former Liverpool youngster Martin Kelly may be a good shout, with the full-back set to line up in the home starting XI with something of a point to prove. In the Premier League this season only Nemanja Matic and Nathaniel Clyne have completed more tackles than the 24-year-old (79).
