Transfers, transfers, transfers...today is the day. What will happen in the final 12 hours of the transfer window? Alex Johnson rounds up what the newspapers are saying.
Monaco's Radamel Falcao looks set for a deadline day move with Manchester City, Man Utd and Arsenal all offered the 55m striker.
The Colombia international has been at the centre of speculation all weekend since being left out of Monaco's squad for Saturday's game with Lille.
Falcao later posted on his Twitter feed that he was joining Real Madrid but that has since been denied by the Spanish outfit and the player himself.
The Guardian are now reporting that Falcao has been offered to three Premier League clubs. Since the early reports it has become evident that Manchester United are set to sign the Colombian international.
Spanish newspaper Marca are reporting that Negredo's representatives have met with officials from Valencia to try and finalise a return to Spain for the striker.
Negredo might not be the only forward moving from Manchester to Spain, with Javier Hernandez being linked with a last-minute switch to Real Madrid.
According to the Daily Mirror, the European champions are eager to take the 26-year-old Manchester United hitman on a season-long loan with a view to a permanent move.
Hernandez is likely to be one of several players to leave Old Trafford on deadline day as United try to move on Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley.
Cleverley had looked set to join Aston Villa for 8million but the Daily Telegraph are reporting that the deal could collapse over the wage demands of the England international.
Away from Manchester, and Arsenal are set to be busy on transfer deadline day, with manager Arsene Wenger refusing to rule out a move for a new striker.
The Frenchman is thought to have withdrawn from the race to sign Falcao due to his asking price and will instead turn his attention to Sevilla striker Carlos Bacca, according to the Metro.
Arsenal don't look like they will be signing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot or Torino's Alessio Cerci, though, with Rabiot poised to join Roma.
Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid have announced Italy international Cerci is set to complete a move to Spain.
QPR could also be busy on transfer deadline day after a mixed start to the season, with manager Harry Redknapp reportedly keen to be reunited with Jermain Defoe.
Defoe only made the move to Toronto FC five months ago but the MLS club have confirmed they have received "multiple offers" for the 31-year-old, with the Guardian stating that Rangers are the favourites for his signature.
Sunderland are also looking to sign a striker on deadline day and are still hopeful of capturing Liverpool's Fabio Borini, according to the Sunderland Echo.
The Italian is reluctant to move to Wearside, despite his first-team chances being limited at Anfield, but the Black Cats are refusing to give up on bringing him back to the Stadium of the Light after his successful loan spell last season.
