Fabricio Coloccini linked with player-manager role at Newcastle.

Is Fabricio Coloccini really the man to replace Alan Pardew?

Fabricio Coloccini has been linked with the player-manager role on the Tyne whilst Cristiano Ronaldo has been heavily linked with an Old Trafford return. You've got tolove the media, Alex Johnson does, she sums it all up for us every day!

Cristiano Ronaldo's return to Man Utd looks as though it could take place next summer amid reports he is unhappy at Real Madrid.

The Daily Mirror report that the Portuguese forward has become disillusioned with life at the Bernabeu due to the club's transfer policy and is looking to return to Old Trafford.

Former Real president Ramon Calderon and Spanish football expert Guillem Balague have both indicated Ronaldo wants to leave, with Balague stating that the financial aspects of any move to United will not be a problem for the Red Devils.

The 29-year-old will look to leave Spain next summer and despite interest from Chelsea, United look like the only club he wants to join.

Another player who could be making the move from Spain to the Premier League is Barcelona forward Pedro, according to the Metro.

The Spain international is reportedly concerned about his long-term prospects at the Nou Camp following the signing of Luis Suarez and he has alerted Arsenal, Liverpool and Italian side Juventus to his availability.

The Gunners and the Reds have been strongly linked with the 27-year-old in the past and it remains to be seen whether they are still interested having improved their attacking options this summer.

Liverpool are also being linked with Paris Saint-Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi, who looks to have fallen out of favour in France.

The Daily Express are claiming the Argentine wants to leave the Parc des Princes in January having made all of his appearances so far this season from the bench.

The Reds are not the only club said to be in for the 29-year-old, with Inter Milan, Fiorentina and Atletico Madrid all in the frame.

Meanwhile, the future of Alan Pardew at Newcastle continues to be the subject of speculation, despite the BBC claiming he has the support of owner Mike Ashley.

Pardew will take charge of Saturday's game with Hull City but another defeat for the Premier League's bottom side could force Ashley's hand.

The Telegraph claim that current Toon defender Fabricio Coloccini is a contender to succeed Pardew should he get the sack having taken on some extra responsibilities while Pardew was serving a stadium ban.

Finally, Eden Hazard is poised to sign a bumper five-year contract with Chelsea to end any lingering speculation about his future.

The Belgian was linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain earlier this summer and the French side are still interested in the 23-year-old.

To make sure he stays at the club, Chelsea have tabled a new contract worth 200,000-a-week, according to the Daily Mail, and Hazard looks set to sign.
