Alan Pardew's Newcastle looked dead and buried but fought back to claim a point

Will it be enough for Alan Pardew? 

The under fire Newcastle manager saw his team come back from two goals down to land a 2-2 draw with Hull today in a highly entertaining encounter at St James' Park.

Goals from Nikica Jelavic and Mo Diame sent Hull towards what looked a sure win, but Papiss Cisse was hauled off the bench to glorious effect. The forgotten man of the Newcastle attack scored a brace to ensure each team took a point. The 2-2 final score was backed at a mighty 100.099/1 on Betfair's exchange. 

In spite of the comeback Pardew is still 1.42/5 to be the next Premier League manager out of a job, however. 

Arsenal shrugged off a lacklustre midweek performance in the Champions League with a heartening 3-0 defeat of an Aston Villa side struck down by a virus today. Danny Welbeck scored his first goal for the club after Mesut Ozil's opener and an own goal from Aly Cissokho was the cherry on the cake for the visiting Arsenal fans. The fourth placed Gunners are 13.5n/a to win the league. 

The day began with an entertaining affair as Mark Hughes returned to Loftus Road with his Stoke side and the Potters were soon into the lead as Mame Biram Diouf scored his second of the season. Steven Caulker - a 10.09/1 goalscorer tip for Lewis Jones in his BB preview - replied for the home side, only to see old boy Peter Crouch fire Stoke back ahead. With just two minutes remaining Niko Krancjar pushed a freekick beyond Asmir Begovic to level the game and reward in-play backers of the draw at 11.5n/a. Spare a thought for those who took 1.091/11 on a Stoke win, however. 

Burnley's goalscoring struggles continued with another 90 goalless minutes , this time against Sunderland. The 0-0 was backed at 10.09/1. Burnley remain 1.4840/85 relegation favourites. 

Southampton picked up their third consecutive win, overcoming 10-man Swansea following Wilfried Bony's first half sending off. Saints are now second in the table on 10 points and can be backed at 1.51/2 for a top-10 finish at season's end.
