The week kicks off in Spain for Paul Robinson as he thinks the televised clash between Getafe and Valencia will feature at least three goals.

Getafe narrowly avoided relegation last season thanks to a run of five unbeaten games at the end of the year - three of which were victories. That was under Cosmin Contra and that success saw his employment extended into the new campaign.

Things haven't exactly picked up where they left off though for 'Azulones' as the Madrid based club have lost two of their opening three matches. In fairness to them, the two defeats were one the road and in their only fixture at Coliseum Alfonso Prez, they recorded a victory over Almeria.

It's the goal-side of things we're interested in this evening though and with two scored and five conceded, their matches this term are averaging 2.33 goals each time. While only one of the trio finished with over 2.5, the last match against today's opponents saw the net bulge four times.

Valencia could only finish eighth last season and that clearly wasn't good enough for the board as Nuno Esprito Santo was installed as the new manager during the summer. The former Rio Ave boss has made a decent start to his reign as after an opening weekend draw at Sevilla, his troops beat Malaga 3-0 and Espanyol 3-1 at the Mestalla.

'Los Che' have had two of their three games go over 2.5 goals and their overall average is 2.74 per 90 minutes. Forwards, Piatti and Alcacer have begun the year in fine form - two goals apiece - and on loan striker, Alvaro Negredo, is nearing fitness following a fractured metatarsal.

This should be an intriguing contest and it will be a good barometer as to how both teams will do this season. I quite like the chance of there being goals, so with under 2.5 trading at around the 1.794/5 mark, I have to make it my lay of the day.
