Kiessling has started the season on fire
With Europe's big leagues back in action after the international break, Louis Massarella reveals where the value is for the Madrid derby, plus four other tips from the last round of matches...
Atletico to edge derby
After being stunned by Real Sociedad in their last game, Real Madrid could be angry going into the first capital derby of the season or their defensive confidence could be shot. Either way, 5.79/2 for champions Atletico to win at the Bernabeu and by the same scoreline as last season, 1-0 17.016/1, both look tasty given their unbeaten start to the season.
One-nil, to the champions
With a new manager and constant speculation surrounding their biggest stars, Juventus aren't expected to have it all their own way in Serie A this season as they did in 2013-14. But they're always good value for a 1-0 win, something they achieved 11 times in the league last season and again in their opening game against Chievo. A repeat of last season's scoreline at home to Udinese is 6.411/2 in the Correct Score market. 6.25/1 for 2-0 also looks good, given their fellow black and whites managed just 19 away goals last term.
More misery for Monaco?
The loss of their two most creative players combined with a slow start to the season suggest Monaco might struggle away to Lyon. All but one of AS's five Ligue Un defeats last season came on the road and they only scored in one of those away losses. Lyon, meanwhile, have failed to score in either of their last two league games. 8.27/1 for 0-0 looks excellent value.
Hannover's fine start to continue
With eight of their 12 Bundesliga wins last season coming at home, expect Hannover's unbeaten start to the season to continue as they host Hamburg, who narrowly avoided relegation last season and have only have one point from two games so far this term. It's2.26/5 for the home win and 19.018/1 for 3-0, and both looking particularly attractive.
Kiessling to top the scoring charts
Having scored nine goals in four games in all competitions already this season and with a point to prove after repeatedly being snubbed by Germany, Steffan Kiessling looks a good bet to be Bundesliga top goalscorer at 7.87/1. At 2.3211/8 Robert Lewandowski is clearly expected to hit the ground running at Bayern. Schalke's Klaas Jan Huntelaar looks better value at 10.5n/a.
