Cesc Fabregas is set to leave the Camp Nou but where will he end up?
Today should be renamed 'Cesc Fabregas teansfer rumour day' as the Barcelona star is being heavily linked with a return to the Premier League.
Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas looks like he might struggle to make a return to the Premier League, with one club after another seemingly distancing themselves from the Spanish international.
Former club Arsenal were strongly linked with the playmaker when news spread that newly-appointed Barca boss Luis Enrique did not seemingly see the ex-Gunners skipper in his plans for the future at the Camp Nou.
The north London outfit are thought to have first refusal should Fabregas leave the Catalan giants but with a wealth of options in the middle of the park with the likes of Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey, Santi Cazorla and Mikel Arteta already competing for places at the Emirates, it looks unlikely that Arsenal will splash the cash to bring the 27-year-old back.
Premier League champions Manchester City were also linked with the midfielder but they too have intimated they have no room for him in their squad, while Manchester United have had a sustained interest in the former Gunner since David Moyes tried to sign Fabregas last summer.
With Louis van Gaal set to take the reins at Old Trafford after this summer's World Cup with his Netherlands squad, the Dutchman might fancy a bid for the Aenys de Mar-born player, as United were often criticised for their lack of creativity in the middle of the park last term.
Chelsea have emerged as the latest English outfit to be linked with Fabregas but they are also thought to be interested in Atletico Madrid playmaker Koke, so the chance of a return to England is diminishing.
Meanwhile, Romelu Lukaku looks set to turn down a potential summer transfer away from Stamford Bridge to fight for his place with the Blues.
The Belgian international had been linked with a move to La Liga champions Atletico, in a potential swap deal for Diego Costa but the former Anderlecht star is believed to be keen on staying with the Londoners.
Finally, Tottenham Hotspur have distanced themselves from making a move for Southampton star Adam Lallana.
The 26-year-old, who is currently with the England squad ahead of the World Cup in Brazil, had been linked with following former Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino to White Hart Lane.
However, having spent so much last summer at Spurs, newly-appointed Pocettino is being encouraged to use what he has already at the club and won't be moving for Lallana this summer.
