Wimbledon 2014: Get ready for tie breaks in Isner vs Lopez

Will Lopez's heavy schedule catch up with him today? Will Lopez's heavy schedule catch up with him today?

Tennis expert Sean Calvert found another odds-against winner yesterday and he likes two more wagers on Day Six of Wimbledon 2014...

It was another profitable day of Wimbledon tennis betting on Friday, with Marin Cilic landing a bit of a gamble in the gloom over Tomas Berdych.

The Croat was in rare form as the light faded over Court 3 last night and he just about managed to seal the straight sets win and my 2.727/4 tip in what were rather daft playing conditions by the time the last ball was struck at around 9:40 pm.

Ahead of that, Andy Murray showed his title-winning potential for the first time this fortnight against Roberto Bautista-Agut on Friday in a match that was good for my outright, but not so much for my wager on a 3-1 result.

Saturday's play features a match where the crowd on Court 3 had better make sure they pack all-weather gear, a few flasks of coffee and a good book, as John Isner and Feliciano Lopez are set to clash at around 1pm, weather permitting.

The forecast for today is for rain, so some of today's matches might carry over until Monday, but assuming this one gets on court it might stay there until Monday anyway - rain or not.

Isner isn't up to much on grass and this third round spot is his best performance here so far in his career and of course it's all down to the serve, which was unplayable last time out against Jarkko Nieminen.

I watched his 19-17 breaker against the Finn and I'm expecting something similar today, with neither Isner nor Lopez able to break an opponent's serve with any regularity and consequently the overs mark is set at a whopping 43.5 games, which is the biggest I can recall seeing.

Lopez may well fade here after too much tennis in the last two weeks, winning Eastbourne and losing in the final at Queen's and he's played 30 sets since June 10, while Isner has played only six in the same time frame.

Added to that is the fact that many of Feli's sets have gone to tie breaks, with exactly half of those 30 sets ending in a breaker, which makes the 3.814/5 about Isner winning set one 7-6 a good call.

That's also due to John's better record in breakers, with a 66% win ratio this year to Lopez's 59% and if he serves like he did against Nieminen I find it hard to see Feli breaking him at all.

My other fancy today is for Nick Kyrgios to have a little too much power, aggression and grass skills for Jiri Vesely, who took advantage of yet another pathetic Wimbledon effort from Gael Monfils in the last round.

Lamonf can't stand playing on grass and makes little effort to hide his contempt, but it still took Vesely five sets to beat him, which is good experience for the Czech, but I can't see him repeating against Kyrgios, assuming the oft injured Aussie is fine physically.

Nick's marathon effort against Richard Gasquet must have taken a lot from him, but both of these young stars of the future should have enough energy to play a third round of Wimbledon even after tough previous matches.

I also like the Aussie's preparation for this, by coming over and winning Nottingham on the grass, while Vesely was playing a Challenger back home in Prague on clay and for me that's not the way to come into the grass major if you have ideas of doing well.

Elsewhere, it's hard to see either Mikhail Kukushkin or Santiago Giraldo having enough to cause Rafa Nadal or Roger Federer too many problems, but Denis Istomin could be tough for Stan Wawrinka.
