Cesc Fabregas stars again in our transfer rumour round-up for Friday 6th June

Cesc Fabregas is becoming a staple of our transfer rumour round-up... Cesc Fabregas is becoming a staple of our transfer rumour round-up...

Today it is Jose Mourinho who is interested in Cesc Fabregas but who else are the newspapers writing about...?

Having been forced to watch on enviously as rivals Manchester City scooped the Premier League and League Cup last season, Manchester United might be about to extract a measure of revenge via the transfer market.

According to the Guardian, top City target Eliaquim Mangala would snub the chance to move to the Etihad Stadium in favour of a deal at United.

New United boss Louis van Gaal is keen to improve his defensive options having bid farewell to Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand, and France international Mangala is reported to be high on his wanted list.

The 23-year-old Porto defender came close to joining City in January but has told friends he would rather join United, or Chelsea, if the chance presented itself.

Elsewhere, Jose Mourinho has added weight to the rumours that Chelsea are keen on signing Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas, confirming he is "interested" in his situation at the Nou Camp.

The Spain international has been told he can leave Barcelona this summer and the Blues appear to be in pole position to bring the 27-year-old back to the Premier League, with Arsenal and Manchester City ruling themselves out of a move.

The Guardian have now quoted Mourinho as saying that he is a fan of the former Arsenal man, who could be on his way back to London after the World Cup.

Chelsea fans could be treated to a raft of new arrivals from Spain this summer, with the Daily Mirror claiming Mourinho wants to bring Atletico Madrid trio Diego Costa, Filipe Luis and Tiago to Stamford Bridge.

Spain striker Costa is reported to have already passed his medical with Chelsea and has reportedly agreed a deal worth 160,000-per-week.

Mourinho wants to add his Atletico team mates to his squad and Brazilian left-back Luis is due to fly into London on Saturday for talks, while Tiago could also be brought in to add further strength in depth to the Blues.

Another player on his way to England from Spain is full-back Alberto Moreno, who is reported to have agreed a five-year contract with Liverpool.

The 21-year-old is set to cost the Reds in the region of 18million after Sevilla reluctantly agreed to sell the highly-rated defender.

Finally, the Metro are reporting that Arsenal will offer Napoli 17million for striker Lorenzo Insigne if he impresses at the World Cup.

The 23-year-old will be part of the Italy squad in Brazil and has emerged as a target for the Gunners, who have become frustrated in their pursuit of Real Madrid pair Karim Benzema and Alvaro Morata in their quest to bolster their attack.
