It’s all still to play for in Group H, as Belgium were the only side to register a win in their opening group game. They now face Russia, whilst Algeria will take on South Korea in Porto Alegre. Read this World Cup Group H betting article ahead of these upcoming group games.

Belgium vs. Russia betting (June 22nd)

Estdio Maracan in Rio de Janeiro will host this highly anticipated Group H fixture as Belgium take-on Russia as both strive to reach the last 16 of the competition.

Belgium came from behind against Algeria in their opening Group game and know that a victory over Russia will confirm their qualification. The Russians rescued a point in their opening game against South Korea when Alexander Kerzhakov equalised in the second half and three points in this match would take them a huge step closer to their own qualification.

Belgium are available at 2.050*
on the 1×2, an implied probability of 48.78%, while Russia are being offered at 4.080*, (24.51% chance of winning). A close game is expected with the handicap set at -0.5 in Russia’s favour.

Algeria vs. South Korea (June 22nd)

Algeria will be looking to revive the spirit of 1982 – when they famously beat West Germany – taking on South Korea on Sunday in World Cup Group H. The Fennec Foxes came out of their opening game with Belgium with no points, so desperately need to get something against the Koreans who earned a valuable point against Russia.

Korea, the 2002 semi-finalists on home soil, start as the 2.310* favourites on the 1×2 at Pinnacle Sports, with Algeria considered to have a 28.22% chance of winning.

Algeria benefited from rash Belgian defending to take an early lead in their opening game, but spent the remainder of the game on the back foot, eventually buckling under the pressure. They will need to be more adventurous here, but having scored in each of their last 14 matches, their fans can hold realistic hope. Pinnacle Sports have them at 1.540* to score and 2.620* not to find the net.

South Korea have considerably more recent World Cup experience behind them, playing their 8th consecutive tournament, but aside from when they hosted in 2002, they have progressed from the Group Stage just once, winning only two of their 20 games.

Though goals have been flowing in Brazil, the market sees this game as unlikely to continue that trend. The Over/Under is set at 2.5 goals with the Under favoured at 1.820*; will this game obey form or become another of the many surprises already seen at this tournament.
