Transfer Rumours for June 18 - Spurs to cut losses on Adebayor and Soldado

Spurs are ready to cut their losses on Roberto Soldado according to the Daily Mirror

Yet another new manager has been installed at White Hart Lane and he is unsurprisingly ready to dump some of the perceived dead wood that he has inherited...

Manchester United summer transfer target Mats Hummels has insisted he is not giving any thought to his future with Borussia Dortmund, as he concentrates on his duties with Germany at the World Cup.

United boss Louis van Gaal is believed to be a keen admirer of the highly-rated defender and has not given up hope of securing Hummels' services after the major tournament down in Brazil.

One player who has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer is talented youngster Adnan Januzaj, who is believed to be a target for the current European champions Real Madrid.

However, reports in the English press this morning have suggested United have issued a 'hands off' warning to anyone interested in the Belgian international, as he is an important part of the club's plans going forward.

Meanwhile, according to The Sun, Arsenal are looking to bolster their attacking options at the Emirates with the signing of Paris Saint-Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi.

The Argentine star becomes the latest striker to be linked with a move to north London, as manager Arsene Wenger hopes to find a potential partner for Olivier Giroud.

Reports suggest Lavezzi is prepared to leave the Parc des Princes and could be set for a move to the Premier League for around 15m.

In other news, Everton are thought to be leading the chase to sign Barcelona striker Cristian Tello on a season-long loan deal ahead of the next campaign.

Following the success of the loan deal of Gerard Deulofeu from the Camp Nou last season, Toffees boss Roberto Martinez is ready to go back to the Blaugrana to pick up another one of their young talents.

With Romelu Lukaku returning to his parent club Chelsea after a strong loan spell at Goodison Park last term, Martinez is hoping Tello can fill the void, if he lands the 22-year-old.

Finally in the papers today, the Daily Mirror is reporting Tottenham Hotspur are willing to listen to offers regarding strike duo Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado.

Spain international Soldado has struggled to settle into life in the Premier League and being on big wages, Spurs are keen to cut their losses.

Adebayor shone under Tottenham's previous manager Tim Sherwood but new boss Mauricio Pochettino could be tempted to allow the former Arsenal man to leave, as it will further free up cash on the club's extensive wage bill.
