After an impressive 4-0 win in their opening game, Germany will now face Ghana in a bid to make it back-to-back wins in Group G. Meanwhile, USA play Portugal the following evening in Manaus. Read this World Cup Group G betting article before placing your bets on these upcoming fixtures.

Germany vs. Ghana betting (June 21st)

Thomas Mller won the Golden Boot in South Africa four years ago, and he continued his prolific International goal scoring record with a hat-trick against Portugal in their opening game. The Bayern Munich forward is currently 3.690* to leave Brazil as the tournament’s highest scorer.

The Germans looked dangerous against Portugal and are now considered the second favourites, behind Brazil. They will now face Ghana – who they beat 1-0 at South Africa 2010 – in Fortaleza on June 21st.

Another Germany win is available at 1.319*
on the 1×2 at Pinnacle Sports – a 75.82% implied probability, while bettors can get 10.790* on Ghana. There were four goals in Germany’s opening game and three in Ghana’s. The OVER/UNDER Total Goals has been set at 3, with odds of 1.962* offered either side.

USA vs. Portugal betting (June 22nd)

There will be contrasting emotions for these two nations based on their opening Group G results. Portugal are on the brink of elimination after suffering a 4-0 defeat to Germany, while they will also be without Pepe who was shown a straight red card for violent conduct.

Meanwhile, the Americans will be delighted with their late 2-1 win over Ghana; an 86th minute header by John Brooks gave them a valuable three points. Interestingly the USA may have a psychological edge over Portugal, knowing they beat them 3-2 in the 2002 World Cup in South Korea.

Despite that result, Portugal are the favourites and are available at 1.820* on the 1×2, while USA can be backed at 4.930*. Cristiano Ronaldo will hope to lead A Seleco to a victory and three points, knowing that their qualification hangs in the balance.

USA are currently being offered at 2.060* to advance from the Group, with Portugal at 2.300*.
