Cross-Sport Multiple: Back England to hammer Honduras

Roy should have plenty to smile about on Saturday Roy should have plenty to smile about on Saturday

Andrew Hughes thinks England will finish their World Cup warm-up with a flourish and help land a Saturday cross-sport multiple

Bet 1: Back England to beat Honduras at 1.444/9

After Wednesday's experiment yielded mixed results, we can expect Roy Hodgson to pick a more conventional team for England's final friendly and that should be enough to see off the challenge of Honduras.

The Hondurans are a better side than Costa Rica, the minnows in England's World Cup group, and have drawn with Ecuador, the team that served up such an entertaining 2-2 draw against Hodgson's men three days ago.

But unlike Ecuador, Honduras have little to offer up front, basing their game around a stubborn defence and hard-working midfield. England will have all the possession they want and should sign off their World Cup warm-up with a morale-boosting win.

Bet 2: Back Maria Sharapova to beat Simona Halep at 1.538/15

Saturday's French Open final is between the 2012 champion Maria Sharapova and rising Romanian star Simona Halep.

They've met three times and Sharapova has won them all. In their latest match, the final of the Madrid Masters last month, Sharapova made a slow start but fought back to win the match 2-1 and I think this final will have a similar shape.

Sharapova has done things the hard way this tournament, but she has shown immense resilience and when both players are on their game, she has the edge over the more passive baseline play of Halep. The Romanian is playing her first Grand Slam final and it won't be her last, but Sharapova will prevail this time.

Bet 3: Back Worcestershire to beat Durham at 2.01/1

Neither of these sides have made much impact on England's domestic Twenty20 tournaments, in fact they can muster just one semi-final spot between them, but Worcestershire have the edge going into Saturday's North Group clash.

Durham have signed Australian John Hastings, but it is Worcestershire's overseas signing who has grabbed the headlines. Saeed Ajmal has been miserly throughout and has helped Worcestershire go on a run of three successive wins, by big margins, against Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, and reigning champions Northamptonshire. They have all the momentum going into this game against a Durham side that lost to Warwickshire on Friday night. Back the home side for the win
