Haukar are hoping that they can continue their impressive home form against Grindavik
Jonno Turner takes us to Iceland, Paraguay and Brazil for three value picks to kick start the weekend in style...
Forget Brazil, all eyes are on Iceland for our first selection of this three team multiple, as Haukar welcome Grindavik to the Schenkervollurinn this afternoon, keen to extend the impressive home form that they have displayed in recent weeks.
The Hafnarfjorour side line up for this encounter sitting seventh in the 1.Deild, having accumulated eight points from their opening half a dozen clashes of the campaign, and two victories on the bounce gives them all-important momentum.
Sigurbjorn Hreidarsson's charges have lost just one of their last eight games in front of their own fans, winning five and drawing the other two, and that cutting edge could play a key part in the outcome of this game between what is, on paper, two pretty evenly-matched sides.
Visitors Grindavik make this trip languishing in 10th position - three places behind their opponents - and teetering on the edge of the dropzone following a slow start to the season.
Four without a win heading into this one will have Milan Jankovic's side low on morale, but it is their record on the road which really paints a picture, and five straight defeats away from the Grindavikvollur suggests that today's guests might struggle.
Indeed, 11 goals shipped in that time points to serious weaknesses in their back line, and, having struggled to find the net of late too, it will be interesting to see how the away side respond should they go down a goal early on.
For me, the positive form of the hosts is key here, and they're available at tasty odds too, which makes this one a bit of a no-brainer.
Bet 1: Haukar (HOME) @ 2.111/10
Diverting our focus towards Paraguay now, where Division Profesional leaders Libertad make the trip to face General Diaz.
The visitors head into this encounter having won three and drawn one of their last five away from the Estadio Dr Nicolas Leoz, and two clean sheets in that time will have them confident of inflicting a loss on their hosts.
Pedro Sarabia's side are unbeaten in four going into this encounter, and that has lifted them to four points clear in pole position with 20 games played.
Hosts General Diaz sit 10th in the table, just two points off the bottom, and a somewhat barren run which has produced just three wins from 17 indicates that they might fall even further behind this evening.
Six goalless outings from 11 speaks of a lack of cutting edge, and Humberto Garcia will be desperate for his side to make the most of their Estadio General Adrian Jara home advantage here.
But a 5-0 thrashing by Libertad last time these two sides met suggests that the visitors have more than enough quality to make their hosts pay in this one.
Bet 2: Libertad (AWAY) @ 1.728/11
And finally, we're turning our attentions to some little tournament under way over in Brazil, as Bosnia meet Nigeria in their World Cup Group G clash.
Safet Susic's side fell 2-1 to the Argentinians in their opening encounter of the competition, but there were plenty of positives to take from that game, and that will have them full of confidence going into a very winnable fixture.
Indeed, that was their first competitive loss in four; three wins before it reaping seven goals and just two shipped, and Susic will no doubt be letting his players know that a loss to the pre-tournament group favourites is nothing to be ashamed of.
In truth, it was always going to be difficult once the Bosnians conceded an early own goal in their first ever World Cup outing, but they held up remarkably well, and even managed to keep the likes of Messi and Aguero at bay until a top-class goal from the Barcelona maestro condemned them to an opening game defeat.
Nigeria, meanwhile, could only manage a 0-0 stalemate with Iran in their first outing of the competition - and that bore draw left many questioning whether the Super Eagles have enough firepower amongst their ranks.
That was their third goalless return from five, and just two goals scored outside of their own country indicates that it is a lack of final third quality which could really let Stephen Keshi's side down this summer.
It's certainly not defensive slips, as four clean sheets from six opportunities attests to, but up against the attacking threat of the likes of Dzeko and Pjanic, I still reckon that Bosnia could come out on top.
Bet 3: Bosnia (AWAY) @ 1.910/11
