Against All Odds: United to keep it tight at Old Trafford

Ferdinand and Vidic have enjoyed great success as a pairing
Manchester United begin their European campaign tonight as they take on Galatasaray at Old Trafford. Both teams to score is odds-on but with Alex Ferguson hinting at a clean sheet almost being his priority, Paul Robinson thinks it's worth taking on.
Notts County didn't let us down yesterday as they held MK Dons to a 1-1 draw and gave us our fourth winner out of five.
Manchester United suffered a Champions League embarrassment last season; going out in the group phase for the first time since the 2005/06 campaign. The Red Devils won just one of their three home games, drawing the other two and conceding five goals.
Manager, Alex Ferguson, has clearly been unhappy with his defence in recent times but the Vidic/Ferdinand partnership was back in place against Wigan at the weekend and a clean sheet was achieved. Fergie has hinted that he will field them both again tonight, as well as the likes of Paul Scholes, Michael Carrick and Patrice Evra who should all help to keep things tight.
Galatasaray are back in the group stages for the first time since 2006 and, Manchester United aside, they have been drawn with some of the weaker teams in the competition. They will no doubt fancy their chances of making the knockout phase.
Tonight is their toughest fixture though and I can't see them getting much change from the United defence. The Turks were never good travellers in Europe anyway and they achieved most of their success by intimidating the opposition at their old ground, the Ali Sami Yen Stadium.
Alex Ferguson seems determined to keep clean sheets in Europe this season and I think we will see a much more cautious approach this time around. We could just lay 'no' in the United clean sheet market as it's marginally shorter, however I like the extra security of laying both teams to score in case Galatasaray spring an almighty upset. So with both teams to score trading around the 1.991/1 mark I have to make it my lay of the day.
