Schalke's Lars Unnerstall could be a busy man tonight
Schalke travel to Fortuna Dusseldorf in the Bundesliga tonight and even though they are odds-on for the win, Paul Robinson thinks the home team can get something from the game.
Fortuna Dusseldorf are back in the top flight of German football for the first time in 15 long years and they have started like they've never been away. Norbert Meier's side are undefeated after five matches, and not only are they yet to lose, they haven't even conceded a goal.
At the Esprit Arena, F95, have drawn both of their matches 0-0, including holding Europa League qualifiers, Borussia M'gladbach, at the start of the month. Looking even further back to last season, Fortuna are now unbeaten in 11 at home, and while most of those are against inferior opposition, confidence is everything in football.
Schalke have made a promising start to their campaign; three wins and a loss, with the defeat coming against Bayern Munich. Huub Stevens' team have also won their opening Champions League fixture and everyone involved with the club will be optimistic about having a successful season.
On the road, The Royal Blues have only lost one of their last seven, however they have only been victorious in three of the last 10. They have conceded a number of goals away from home as well; nine in their last five, and it's just one clean sheet in 14.
Fortuna Dusseldorf are very solid at home and while Schalke represent a step up in opponent, I can't have 1.865/6 about an away win, and that's why I'm making Schalke my lay of the day.
