Premier League Tips: Gunners to shoot down Chelsea at The Emirates

It's been a unanimous thumbs up for Santi Cazorla thus far

There are some tasty looking fixtures in the Premier League this coming weekend and Paul Robinson has taken the time to have an early look ahead to see where the value lies in the fixed odds markets.

Arsenal v Chelsea
Back Arsenal @ 2.1 (11/10)

Arsenal have made an impressive start to their season and are unbeaten in their five matches. After opening up with a pair of 0-0 draws, The Gunners have found their groove; winning 2-0 at Anfield, thrashing Southampton at The Emirates and gaining a deserved 1-1 draw away at Manchester City on Sunday.

Robin van Persie is a distant memory as Arsene Wenger's new look side are looking like potential title challengers. Steve Bould has clearly instilled some solidarity into the back line which is evidenced by three clean sheets, and the new look attack of Podolski, Gervinho and Santi Cazorla are giving the opposition's defence plenty of headaches, with the latter in particular looking an outstanding signing.

Chelsea are top but they haven't been that impressive to my eye and they have certainly been aided by a kind run of fixtures. The Blues struggled past Stoke at the weekend and, like the home win against Reading, they were fortunate to get all three points. Fernando Torres is nowhere near top form at the moment but, with nobody available to replace him, he will continue on Saturday.

Arsenal are looking much more of a team than Chelsea so far this season and despite trailing their west London rivals by four points, I think they will prove too strong and odds-against seems like decent value.

Sunderland v Wigan
Back Sunderland @ 1.9 (9/10)

Sunderland have drawn all four of their Premier League games so far this season and it's now 12 without a victory but I'm taking them to end that drought on Saturday.

Martin O'Neill was left frustrated at Upton Park as Kevin Nolan equalised late on in the game to deny his side victory. The Black Cats have looked an improved outfit of late, thanks mainly to new signing Steven Fletcher giving them a viable goal threat. Adam Johnson once again sat out through injury but he could be in line for a return and with his delivery from either flank, Fletcher will get plenty of chances to add to his four-goal tally.

Wigan finished like a train last year but they have reverted to type again, picking up just four points from their opening five fixtures. The performance at home to Fulham was pretty dire, especially in the first half as even their usual precise passing game eluded them.

Scoring goals will always prove an issue for the Latics until they sign a top striker and now their defence seems to be underperforming, with 10 goals conceded so far at an average of two per game.

This looks like a nailed on home victory for me and almost the perfect fixture for Sunderland to get that all important win under their belt.

Fulham v Manchester City
Back Fulham @ 4.2 (16/5)

Manchester City travel to Fulham on Saturday and I'm backing them to come away from the capital with nothing.

Fulham have made an impressive start to their season given the circumstances of losing their two best players in Dembele and Dempsey. Martin Jol has strengthened though and has added more than just a touch of class in Dimitar Berbatov. The Bulgarian has netted twice and provided one assist in two and a half matches and he is playing like a man with a point to prove.

Fulham have an excellent home record and it's not four wins in a row in the league at the Cottage, with their two victories this year coming in at an aggregate of eight goals to nil.

Manchester City may be undefeated so far but they currently look like a much poorer team than last season and they have only won two out of five. The defence are yet to keep a clean sheet, which hasn't been helped by Mancini's tinkering, and playmaker, David Silva, has been nowhere near his best.

City will need to be at the top of their game to get a result at Fulham and I'm not convinced that they will be, so 4.2 (16/5) about a home victory looks like a stand out bet.
