Timeform Radio Tips: Regal to Flow around Exeter

Regal Flow will run at Exeter.

Timeform's Martin Dixon suggests four bets for Tuesday's racing...

Exeter's 15:40 is full of horses that have plenty to prove at present and it's worth taking a chance on one of the less exposed amongst them in Caroline Keevil's Regal Flow. If judged on his best run, when third in a Newton Abbott novice in March, a BHA mark of 113 is handy enough. Since then he's faced stiff tasks in better races but I was encouraged that he lasted with the principals until the home turn at Chepstow on her reappearance, for which he should strip fitter.

I'll stay with Exeter where I'm backing two against the field in the handicap chase at 16:10. Sophonie has made the switch from Ferdy Murphy to Tom George since last season, which is very much a positive judging by how Desperate Dex won last week after making the same move, and she could still be thrown in if looking back to the best of her French form. It's worth keeping Black Phantom on side as well, a previous course winner who is also potentially well treated.

My third and final race to play this afternoon is Yarmouth's 15:20, where Santarini catches my eye. She's remains a maiden and hasn't lived up to early expectations, but some of her maiden form gives her a big chance from a mark of 68, and I think she's a filly who is going to prove at her best in the mud.

Timeform Radio Tips
Back Santarini @ 11.010/1 in the 15:20 at Yarmouth
Back Regal Flow @ 7.413/2 in 15:40 Exeter
Back Sophonie @ 3.02/1 and Black Phantom @ 7.06/1 in 16:10 Exeter
