Moonee Valley host their biggest race day on Saturday

Timeform Australia give you their three best bets for Moonee Valley on Saturday.

After what will be 24 hours of good racing punters can springboard off the famous Valley camber and rattle home over the top of the bookies with the last three races on the Saturday card throwing up terrific betting opportunities.

The Group 2 Crystal Mile (06:30) is run under weight-for-age conditions for the first time and that plays strongly into the hands of Rangirangdoo. He's the proven weight-for-age star and is proven at the Valley, winning this race in 2009 on his only run here. A repeat of the form that saw him only narrowly beaten in the George Main two starts back would see him prove too good. $3.80 looks a good bet.

The feature of the day, the Cox Plate (07:15), looks a strong renewal of what is always a cracking race. It's a terrific betting race this year as well and one that jumps off the page in early markets is Shoot Out. The market looks to have completely undervalued his chances, matched as high as $34 on Betfair. Currently trading around $23 he still looks outstanding value for a horse we have marked in single figures.

The last, The Tesio Stakes (08:00) is a good betting mares race with the Guy Walter trained Skyerush fancied to run a big race. Third up and to the mile is a good situation for her and she has put down a solid foundation for a peak run here with her two starts this campaign both good, solid efforts.
