Follow The Money: Why not Wymott?

Today's Follow The Money comes from Newcastle, Doncaster and Fakenham.

We start with Newcastle's 13:30 staying handicap chase which has seen good money for Wymott, now in to 2.962/1 from 5.04/1. Donald McCain's charge makes his reappearance today and looks to get back on track following some below par runs last term. The good news for supporters is he has been eased in the ratings by the handicapper, the ground will suit and this will be easier than the races he contested last term. The money indicates the selection's readiness for today's test and a return to form could be forthcoming this afternoon.

Next we head to Doncaster's 14:40 mile nursery where Darkening has been easy to back. Earlier trading at 2.3611/8 he is now out to 2.829/5. Although an earlier winner at Yarmouth, he is now 12lbs higher and was actually held off a 6lb lower mark last time. This should be too much today off top weight and punters feel the value lies elsewhere.

Finally, in Fakenham's 15:40 staying handicap chase, No Loose Change has been supported from 7.26/1 in to 5.39/2. Another chaser making his reappearance today, this seven-year-old won at Newbury last term before being held at Ayr. He is lightly raced so there should be more to come and he can get his season off to a good start today.
