Premier league Injuries: Fellaini to miss date with QPR

Marouane Fellaini has already notched three league goals

Marouane Fellaini, Fabio Borini and Gaston Ramirez will all be big misses for their clubs this weekend...

Fabio Borini - Liverpool v Reading (Saturday 15:00)
Liverpool's wafer-thin forward roster has suffered yet further depletion through the injury to Fabio Borini. The forward suffered a broken bone in his foot while on duty with the Italian U21s which will now keep him out of action for three months. Ironically, this is the third successive October in which Borini has sustained an injury likely to see him miss a 12-week chunk. This leaves Rodgers with just one recognised senior striker in Luis Suarez, who will only have had a brief period of recovery, following an energy-zapping midweek trip to Bolivia for his native Uruguay. Liverpool's stalemate with Stoke highlights their problems in front of goal, especially at Anfield where they have managed just three goals in four games in the Premier League.
Recommended Bet: Lay Liverpool to score three or more goals @ 2.546/4

Gaston Ramirez - West Ham v Southampton (Saturday 15:00)
Southampton's record signing Gaston Ramirez will now be sidelined for up to six weeks with a thigh injury. This is a bitter blow for Saints fans as they had just started to glimpse evidence of the talent which led Nigel Adkins to part with 12 million to sign the player from Bologna. After impressing on his first league start in Southampton's 4-1 hammering of Aston Villa, the Uruguayan then went on to mark his second start with a goal against Everton at Goodison. Southampton now travel to fellow newcomers West Ham, who have made a far steadier start to life in the top flight. This fixture produced a draw last season in the Championship, though Saints have lost all three away games so far this term.
Recommended Bet: Back West Ham to beat Southampton @ 1.8910/11

Marouane Fellaini - QPR v Everton (Sunday 16:00)
The man with the most recognisable bonce in the Premier League has been out since before the international break, suffering a knee injury in the draw against Wigan, and will miss the next few weeks. This is sour music indeed for Everton fans as Fellaini's domineering performances have been intrinsic to the Toffees' fantastic start. Playing just off the front man, the gangly Belgian has bullied the opposition aerially and bamboozled on the deck in equal measure. His three goals so far are just rewards. Fellaini has started every Premier League game to date and his leadership on the pitch will be missed by the rest of the squad against winless QPR.
Recommended Bet: Back QPR and Everton to draw @ 3.55n/a
