Gordon Elliott: The thoughts on my runners at Gowran and Dundalk

Gordon has runners at Gowran and Dundalk today
Gordon is represented at both meetings in Ireland today and he has hopes of a maiden success with his only runner at Gowran Park. Get his exclusive comments.
17:05 Gowran Park - Dumbarton
He had a good run on the sand at Laytown last time out and before that he was in the process of running very well when falling at the third last in a maiden hurdle at Down Royal. We pulled him out of an intended engagement since then, as the ground went against him, but hopefully the going at Gowran will remain good as that should really suit him. This looks like a competitive maiden but he's not short of pace and we're hopeful that he will go close.
18:00 Dundalk - Esporao
He returned to winning ways when leading all the way in a claiming hurdle at Perth a little over a week ago out but we think he'll take to the all-weather so we're hopeful he'll go well again today. The concern we have is that the trip - one mile - is on the short side for him. Gary Phillips, who rides him, is a good lad and while we couldn't be confident, we're hoping he'll take to the surface and go well.
21:00 Dundalk - Formal Bid (Reserve)
He's just a reserve and would probably be lucky enough to get in. It's a long time since he last ran on the flat but he has been disappointing over hurdles this season and so we'd like to run him back on the level. He won both of his last two runs at this track and if he gets in we'd be hopeful that he could show a bit more.
