Against All Odds: Flying Daggers to cut deep at Roots Hall

Paul Sturrock has aged quite badly since his Sheffield Wednesday days
Southend are odds-on ahead to beat Dagenham in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy tonight but the Shrimpers aren't in great form at present and Paul Robinson thinks they are worth taking on.
Dynamo Dresden held Koln to a draw yesterday as we kicked off the week with a nice win. The major leagues are taking a break for internationals now but there is still plenty of value to be found in Betfair's football markets.
Southend come into this match on a run of form that has seen them pick up just one win from the last five games. Paul Sturrock's men have lost to Gillingham and Burton recently, and have been held by Plymouth and Barnet.
The Seasiders are usually solid at home but they've only picked up one point from their last two outings at Roots Hall, and while they did beat Dagenham 3-1 back in September, the Daggers had to play to play with 10 men from the seventh minute.
Dagenham are down in 18th place in the table but they have got their act together recently and are unbeaten in four. Home wins over Wycombe and Bradford were added to away draws at Rochdale and Port Vale.
On a wider scale, away from Victoria Road, John Still's side have lost just three of their last 10 and they have managed to score in every one of those games bar two.
Southend should be marginal favourites here but there is no way that they should be odds-on. Trading around the 1.9520/21 mark I have to make them my lay of the day.
