Kempton Placepot: Thursday September 20

Godolphin boast an excellent strike rate at Kempton.
Timeform's Shahin Khoshsokhan brings you a suggested Placepot permutation from this evening's card at Kempton...
17.40 - Tigertoo looks a worthy favourite in the opening race on the card having comfortably recorded his first success off this mark at Wolverhampon two days ago. However, there's always a chance this may come too soon for him and is taken on with Having A Ball, who ran well on his return from a break at Newbury last month and is now back down to a winning mark, and Pastoral Jet, who's caught the eye when placed on his last two starts.
18.10 - Like the first division of this event, the favourite (True Prince) is being turned out quickly having won his previous race. For the same reasons True Prince is taken on with Present Story and Bold Ring, who are both potentially well handicapped and shaped with some promise on their latest runs.
18.40 - Debutants aren't usually the way to go in maidens, but none of those with experience look particularly solid so newcomer Ehtedaam is included for a powerful yard that gets plenty of winners around here. Although returning from a lengthy absence, Net Whizz is included as back-up. He was backed as if defeat was out of the question on his debut at Newmarket last summer, and though he managed only tenth, he's clearly thought capable of a good deal better.
19.10 - The second maiden on the card lacks depth and looks a lot more straightforward. Roc de Prince and Tempest Fugit standout on form and it could be worth banking on one of them, with the former getting the vote given the other is returning from an absence.
19.40 - Gucci d'Oro showed big improvement on his first attempt at a marathon trip when runner-up over C&D three weeks ago and, with the third and fourth winning next time, he's difficult to leave out despite the fitting of headgear. Lakota Ghost didn't show much over hurdles early in the year but he's reliable on the Flat and should be suited by this step up in trip.
20.10 - The final leg of the Placepot is easily the best race on the card, with several at least useful performers taking their chance. Primaeval is hard to omit given he has the best all-weather form and is a five-time winner at Kempton. It's quite brave to bank on one selection for the final leg, however, so i'm also including I Love Me, who usually keeps better company than this, and her latest run suggests she's coming back to the boil.
Selections:
17:40- 1, 6
18:10- 1, 10
18:40- 5, 8
19:10- 4
19:40- 2, 12
20:10- 7, 11
