Mark Jonston's stable remains in fantastic form
Today's Follow The Money comes from the meeting's at Yarmouth and Pontefract...
Our first positive of the day is in the Pontefract 16:00 where My Sharona has been steadily supported in to 5.04/1 from 7.06/1. Sylvester Kirk's Dark Angel Filly is having a great season and was unfortunate not to secure her followers more success when stumbling out of the stalls at Salisbury last time. The punters have not deserted her and on the surface this race looks weaker than what she has been contesting, which supports her trainers decision for the long trip up north from his Lambourn base.
We go to the Yarmouth 16:20 for our next Positive mover where the Mark Johnston trained Modernism has attracted good support seeing his price fall from 9.28/1 in to 6.411/2.
He looked like a world beater when winning easily at Goodwood on his penultimate start, and ran with great credit when beaten into fourth in hot company at Ascot last time. This son of the recently deceased Monsun looks sure to appreciate this step up in trip and with Kieran Fallon helping from the saddle the punters could be rewarded.
We go back up to Yorkshire for our Negative mover of the day where Sir Henry Cecil's Keeping Time has drifted from 1.625/8 out to 1.784/5 in the Pontefract 17:00.
The well related son of Observatory has just started to produce some decent efforts of late with an All-Weather fourth and a runner-up prize at Lingfield on his last two starts. However, Ed Dunlop's Homeric and Marcus Tregoning's unraced Oasis Dream filly Estemaala look to provide some interesting competition in what looks a tougher assignment than his recent Lingfield race. The layers are not running scared of this colt's experience and look satisfied that one of the more unexposed types could have more to offer than the selection.
