Tuesday's Placepot comes from Sedgefield.
Timeform's Tony McFadden brings you a suggested Placepot permutation from Sedgefield...
14:20 - John Ferguson was one of the big success stories last season and his hurdling debutant Jameel goes into the Placepot as our first selection. A fair performer on the flat, Jameel is an interesting recruit to hurdles and, if taking to the obstacles, may prove too good for his rivals. We will also add another interesting contender from the Flat in the shape of Hong Kong Island. Now in the care of Donald McCain, Hong Kong Island had established himself as a consistent handicapper on the Flat, often making the frame, and he also merits inclusion in the 'pot'.
14:50 - Despite producing a poor effort when last seen at Aintree, Hi George arguably boasts the strongest form, by virtue of his Kelso maiden hurdle success, and he is taken to secure a top-three finish here. There doesn't appear to be a host of promising novices in this contest and siding with Malcolm Jefferson's charge, who has been given a break since disappointing at Aintree, looks to be the percentage call.
15:20 - The Fox's Decree is difficult to win with; only a power-packed ride by A P McCoy has so far persuaded him to get his head in front. However, he often runs on late to make the frame and has largely been in good heart recently, so, in a contest lacking depth, we will include him in the Placepot. We will also add Sparkling Tara for a bit of insurance as she ran her best race for some time here last month and has been found an easier opportunity today.
15:50 - Tahiti Pearl shaped as if he needed the run on his return from a five-month absence, finishing fifth at Uttoxeter last month. He should benefit enormously for that initial outing and we will keep Sue Smith's gelding onside here. Schinken Otto seems to relish his trips to Sedgefield, having racked up five C&D victories, and the return to chasing should see him in a better light.
16:20 - An emphatic winner of a handicap hurdle at Market Rasen on Saturday, Goldan Jess looks to be very well in under his penalty and can supplement that recent victory. He travelled with real enthusiasm on Saturday and he can be relied upon here to see us through to the final leg.
16:50 - Donald McCain hasn't had Hit The Switch for long, but there have already been signs that the gelding has improved, his defeat of Ruttan Lake at Bangor being a particular case in point. He dug deep under pressure on that occasion to fend off his rival and we will bank on him to secure Placepot victory.
