RPGTV Tips: Thursday, Friday and Saturday bets

Thursday night should be interesting at Hove

Never a dull moment at Henlow these days. Just three days after their live-on-Sky Henlow Derby card, the Bedfordshire track is back on the screens tonight as its kicks off the Gold Cup live on RPGTV. There's also top action at Hove, at Romford on Friday and Crayford on Saturday. The Lord selects the best bets.

Droopys English (20:42) did nothing wrong last week in his prep race and will be one for the short-shot players in heat one, while two of Paul Young's entries, Bubbly Jaytee (20:58) and Bubbly Rossie (21:48), should improve for their first Henlow outings last week and neither are likely to swing off as wide.

And Bubbly Ebony (21:32) could help make it a great night for the Essex trainer having run well in his two races after a long layoff, and is surely open to further improvement here.

Elsewhere on the card, the opening puppy event can go to Mannix Pet (19:39) after she showed great early speed to win over the shorter trip latest and may appreciate this longer run-up even more.

Westmead Shaw (20:10) has been racing in far loftier company than this lately and should make all over 428m, a trip that should suit him.

At Hove, a mixed card features a number of solid bets including Special Release (19:46), who has a better draw now than when beaten from four previously, and Droopys Darwin (20:18), who ran a fast enough trial and will improve on that to win this.

However, most eyecatching runner at the Sussex track is Derby runner-up Farloe Ironman who may trap in front of Holloway Road (22:26) , but might not hold the latter being short of a run.

On to Friday, where there is a decent final at Romford over 575m with Mutual Consent (21:24) set to be rewarded for some fine recent efforts.

The draw looks perfect for Ernie Gaskin's dog who has stepped up in trip in fine style and a burst of early pace should take him clear in the dash to the first bend.

Classiest greyhound on show, however, is Airlie Impact (21:56) when Paul Young's dog steps up in trip, perhaps with the Essex Vase later this year in mind.

He looked a superstar when reaching the Sussex Cup at Hove but has increasingly looked as if a trip will suit, although many might side with Lenson Ginger value-wise given his perfect draw inside.

One of the most competitive races of tomorrow at Romford is at 22:11 where the draw suggests Droopys Pharaoh might return to the Essex track in fine fettle after some good Oxford runs.

Finally, at Crayford on Saturday, the Kent St Leger final can go to Heather Dimmock's Lottes Girl, who has escaped the shocks and surprises so far in the event to make the decider, and loves it at the Kent venue.
