Today's home bet comes from ChileJonno Turner heads to Chile and Germany (well, he scours the markets on Betfair) and finds a pair of promising Thursday night Home And Away football bets...
We're off to Chile for our first pick of the day, as top of the table CSD Barnechea welcome Coquimbo Unido in the Primera B, looking to extend the consistent form they've shown on their home patch.
The hosts, managed by Mario Salas, have looked good since their promotion as the champions of the Tercera A division last year, and no defeats in their last half a dozen league games at the Municipal de la Pintana Stadium underlines just how well the Huaicocheros have adjusted well to life in the second tier.
Salas' side look strong defensively, and three clean sheets from their last four in front of their own fans suggests that their guests may be facing a tall task in this encounter.
But that's not to say that the home side are overly defensive - with nine goals in their last five at La Pintana showing just how much quality they possess in attack.
Visitors Coquimbo Unido travel to Santiago having failed to win in eight of their last 10 league games on their travels, and that has left the away side sitting in mid-table ahead of this tie.
Luis Musrri saw his side finish eighth in the table last campaign, and will be desperate for his side to arrest that slump so that they don't slip further down the division.
But the away side have failed to score in four of their last seven, and that raises serious doubts over their ability to secure results away from the Francisco Sanchez Rumoroso at the moment.
Musrri will not fancy this trip to a side which is full of momentum and confidence following some impressive results of late, and I'm backing the home win here.
Bet 1: CSD Barnechea (HOME) @ 1.84/5
Over to Germany now, as Kaiserslautern welcome Stuttgart to the Fritz-Walter-Stadion, in a friendly during this international break.
The home side go into this game having won just two of their last 16 outings on their own patch, and that, coupled with relegation from the top tier last campaign, will have knocked the confidence of Die Roten Teufel of late.
And Franco Foda's side will go into this game desperate to avoid a heavy loss against a Stuttgart side which has lost just one of their last five games in the league above.
Six goals scored in their previous four suggests that the visitors are likely to nick one or two in this game, which will be a useful exercise for Bruno Labbadia's side, who have a few players away on international duty at the moment.
This will be a chance for the players on the fringes of the Stuttgart team to make their mark in the absence of some regulars, and if you're looking for a bet on a day when the football cupboard is a little bare, I think that the away win is a decent bet here, at 2.3811/8.
Bet 2: Stuttgart (AWAY) @ 2.3811/8
