Home and Away: Colo Colo to do us proudo proudo

Will Colo Colo get the win today?

Jonno Turner will look anywhere in the world for a selection in his Home and Away column, and today he's opted for Chile and Italy...

We're off to Chile for our final pick of the day - and in-form Colo Colo welcome Union San Felipe to the Estadio Monumental David Arellano, looking to extend the impressive form which has seen them avoid defeat in 13 of their last 14 on their own patch.

Boss Omar Labruna will be delighted with his sides performances in front of their own fans, and three clean sheets from their last five - with 16 scored at the other end - underlines the extent to which the hosts have dominated their opponents in recent weeks.

That run has left Los Albos sitting in fifth place in the Primera Division - but they are just two points away from top spot, with a couple left to play - and Labruna will be desperate to continue his sides momentum over the coming games. But for tonight, the hosts must turn their attentions to the Copa Chile, and the final match of their group stage, where they currently sit in third place.

Colo Colo must win this game to be in with a chance of securing qualification to the next stage of the competition - and the draw has been kind to them, as their opponents sit bottom of the group with just one win from five games in this group.

Union San Felipe have not enjoyed the best of season, and it would take a turn around of huge proportions for them to salvage qualification to the next round of this competition now - as they are three points, and six goals, behind second place, and only the top two qualify.

That suggests that visitors boss Marco Antonio Figueroa may choose to focus his attentions on the Primera Division instead - where his side currently sit in 13th place, alarmingly close to the dropzone, following a miserable run which has seen them go five without a win.

And the Aconcaguinos are particularly bad away from the Estadio Municipal San Felipe, where they seem to be suffering from an extreme bout of travel sickness, and have won just one from their last 22.

Ten goals conceded in their last four on the road suggests that the away side have major defensive weaknesses which boss Figueroa must look to arrest, but I think that this game will have come too quickly for the visitors, and my money's on a home win.

Italy is our focus for the final tip of today, and Lecce, who have been in some excellent form of late, travel to Nocerino to contest this Coppa Italia Serie C encounter.

The visitors go into this one having avoided defeat in seven of their last nine on the road, and boss Franco Lerda will be delighted with the way his side have adjusted since being demoted from Serie A due to their involvement in a match fixing scandal.

The Giallorossi currently sit top of the Lega Pro table, without defeat in their opening seven games of the campaign, and look set to gain promotion back to Serie B if they can continue grinding out these excellent results.

Nocerina go into this game having won just one of their last three at the Stadio San Francesco d'Assissi, and boss Gaetano Auteri will be keen for his side to arrest that slump here.

But the hosts have lost three of their last five cup games, and that may have hit confidence in the home camp. Just one clean sheet from their last four suggests that the Mastini struggle to keep their noses clean for 90 minutes, and I think that those defensive weaknesses could cost them against a Lecce side full of confidence and attacking prowess.

Bet 2: Lecce (AWAY) @ 2.226/5
