Gordon Elliott: The thoughts on my two Clonmel Sunday runners

Davy Condon gets the leg up on Cullentry Royal for Gordon on Sunday
Gordon has had a very good week and he looks to have a couple of live chances at Clonmel on Sunday. Get his exclusive comments.

He has a nice bit of experience over hurdles at this stage and he produced his best effort yet when finishing second behind another one of ours, Fisher, at Galway last time out. The form of that race got a boost when third-placed Habesh went on to win at Listowel on his next outing. He should be up to winning races but our only concern is the good to firm ground. We're not certain how it will suit him but if he copes with it, he should go close.

He won his bumper at Sligo very well and also showed very good form when second behind Glens Melody at the same track next time out. However, it's fair to say that he has been very disappointing in his two runs over hurdles and he has something to prove now. That said, he has had plenty of schooling and we couldn't be happier with him so we're certainly expecting some improvement from him. Davy Condon will probably ride him handy enough and the good ground will definitely suit so we're hopeful of a good run.
