Today's Follow the Money comes from Bangor and Warwick.
We start at Bangor and in the 14:50 where Cross Of Honour has been well supported from 8.27/1 in to 5.95/1. Charlie Longsdon's five-year-old won a novice hurdle event at Musselburgh in February, but was a little disappointing on his last start in March. He is making his chase debut today in an open looking novice race, he has some experience over fences having won a Point-to-Point last year and, with the stable having a couple of winners in the last week, punters are hoping that run continues today.
Next we move to Warwick and in the 15:40 where Light Rose has backed from 3.9n/a in to 2.285/4. It wouldn't be a surprise to see a newcomer take this as those with experience have not set a very high standard. The market is usually a good guide in these races and the money has come for trainer Mark Johnston's newcomer, the yard are in good form and the money suggests this son of Cape Cross can make a winning debut.
Our final selection is from Bangor and in the 16:50 where Prompter has drifted from 2.747/4 out to 3.9n/a. Jonjo O'Neil-trained runner was rated as high as 106 on the flat for trainer Michael Bell, but has been disappointing over hurdles so far where he has been beaten three times with a BSP of 3.87n/a, 1.8910/11 and 2.427/5. He is making his handicap debut today and looks well treated racing off 108, but punters are certainly looking elsewhere as he looked to give up then challenged throw over C&D in August and it will take all of AP McCoy's skill to get him home in front today.
