Will Hughes win on Guiletta?
Today's selections all run at Leicester...
We start in the 16:10 where man of the moment Richard Hughes has muscled in to ride Guiletta in the absence of Chris Catlin. She's been backed too, from 5.95/1 in to 4.67/2. Four of the five have decent chances but, of these, Guiletta will probably be best suited by soft ground.
Now Spun made a pleasing AW debut, giving him an advantage over several unraced rivals in the 16:40 maiden. He's sure to be straighter today (shied away from the whip at Wolverhampton) but he's been drifting in the face of strong support for runners from the Michael Bell and Ralph Beckett stables. The current 3.412/5 from an earlier 2.6413/8 is still a viable lay price. And the likely inconvenience of today's soft ground cements the proposition.
Exning Halt has been solidly supported all morning. He's been getting closer and closer to winning his first race and it is hoped that front-running Cape Explorer will set up the race for Kieran Fallon on our selection. 5.69/2 in to 4.216/5 .
