Danny Wilson hasn't seen too many goals recently
Notts County meet Sheffield United in the Football League Trophy and while the market is predicting a bit of a goal fest, Paul Robinson isn't so sure.
Notts County are flying high in fifth place in League One under the guidance of Keith Curle. The Magpies are on a club record unbeaten run away from home of 14 matches, but their form at Meadow Lane isn't quite so good.
It's goals we're interested in though and three of County's last half dozen have gone under 2.5. Their record based purely on games on home soil is similar, with four of the last seven going under 2.5.
Sheffield United are still marginal favourites for the League One title but not as clear as they once were. Danny Wilson's men are actually undefeated in the league, but seven draws from 12 games has cost them too many points.
The Blades' fixtures have been averaging a mere 2.17 goals each time and seven of their last eight in all competitions have had two goals or less. It's a similar story away from Bramall Lane where eight of their last 10 have gone under 2.5, with five of them going under 1.5.
If over 2.5 goals is odds-on with Sheffield United involved then it's most certainly worth taking on, so at the 1.855/6 mark I have to make it my lay of the day.
