Timeform Global Rankings: Wise Dan a new addition

Timeform has released its latest Global Rankings, covering Flat racing around the world to the end of 16th September 2012...
The Rankings define the current peak achievements of Flat racehorses on the familiar Timeform rating scale of 0 to 140 (or even higher for truly exceptional horses).
Unbeaten Frankel remains a long way clear on 147 - Timeform's highest Flat rating ever - and has been top of the list for over 16 months now.
The Australian Black Caviar, the joint-highest rated filly/mare in Timeform's 64-year history, comes next on 136, while Cirrus des Aigles and Excelebration are both rated 133 and lead the way for France and Ireland respectively.
A new name near the top of the list is the US-trained Wise Dan (132), an impressive winner of the Woodbine Mile in Canada from top-rated Canadian Hunters Bay (rated 121) at the weekend.
German interests continue to be represented by the 2011 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner Danedream and Japanese ones by the colt who is disputing favouritism with her for this year's race, Orfevre. The pair share eighth place with a rating of 131.
