Sunday's Timeform Daily comes from Hamilton
Timeform provide a runner-by-runner guide to an interesting handicap from Hamilton on Sunday...
Spinatrix won a trio of 6f handicaps last summer, and even better this year in headgear, backing up Pontefract and Ayr wins with good placed efforts at Ripon. Engaged 2.20 Ayr Saturday.
Shesastar was progressive in 2011, winning twice, and better than ever of late, scoring at Doncaster in July before creditable fourth next 2 runs. Probably best at 7f but ground should slow the others down.
Muaamara was a maiden winner on sole 2-y-o outing, and improved to win a 6f Goodwood handicap in June. Below form since, however, and others arrive in much better heart.
Catwalk showed promise 4 first runs before showing big improvement fitted with a visor when landing soft-ground Thirsk handicap in good style last month. 9 lb higher now but still unexposed after only 5 runs.
Sovereign Street is a progressive filly who is right at the top of her game at present, posting a career best when narrowly completing the hat-trick at Newcastle latest. Has conditions to suit again and big player.
Wicked Wench won at Southwell and went in again at Windsor in May. Bit better after 3 months off at Ayr on Friday but still looks up against it here.
Coolminx is hard to catch right but useful on her day, as showed when winning Ayr Bronze Cup last year. Merely gone through motions this term and cheekpieces need to spark revival. Engaged 1.45 Ayr Saturday.
Lisiere won a maiden at Pontefract, and first-time blinkers did trick when back to winning ways in handicap at Catterick (6f). Headgear didn't seem to work as well next time, though, and others preferred.
Lollina Paulina improved to win soft-ground Newmarket handicap in June but well below form both starts since, and different headgear now tried.
Breezolini landed 5f handicaps here and Doncaster this term. Threw in a lesser effort over C&D last time but type to bounce back quickly and not dismissed out of hand.
Timeform 1-2-3:
1. Catwalk
2. Sovereign Street
3. Spinatrix
Timeform View: Sovereign Street is thriving at the moment and is sure make a bold bid for the 4-timer but narrow preference is for the unexposed Catwalk, who got off the mark in great style last time and can defy a 9 lb rise. In-form Spinatrix completes the shortlist.
