Wild Coco, sent off at a Betfair SP of 3.185/40 took the Group 2 Park Hill Stakes at Doncaster on Thursday...
The four-year-old, trained by Sir Henry Cecil, made a winning seasonal reappearance at Goodwood last month, landing the Group 3 Lillie Langtry Stakes by two and three-quarter lengths.
Estimate, who finished third at Goodwood, appeared to slip the field as the race drew to a close, going three lengths clear under Paul Hanagan and seemingly having her rivals in trouble. however, as they entered the final furlong the pack was closing, and it soon became evident that Wild Coco was going to get on top.
Hazel Lavery eventually stayed on to take second, leaving Estimate to fill third for the second successive occasion and Gallipot in fourth.
Wild Coco holds an entry in the Fillies' and Mares' Stakes on Champions Day, and is sure to be of interest in that event.
