Home And Away: Porto to prosper in Zagreb

Porto may have lost Hulk but they retained Joao Moutinho
Jonno Turner has a Champions League tip and some League Two insight for your Tuesday afternoon perusal...
I didn't manage to get to the gym yesterday. That's every day for 6 months now. I often used to stare at a huge sign on the wall at my gym that said "NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE". Whoever wrote that obviously never tried to cancel their membership.
Last time I went to the gym they had just installed a new machine in there. I only used it for about an hour, as I started to feel sick, but it was great - it had KitKats, Mars bars, crisps and everything in it.
We're off to Priestfield for our first pick of the day, with League Two leaders Gillingham attempting to extend their unbeaten start against Southend.
The Gills have swept all before them this season, and have only dropped points once in their first six games, smashing in 14 goals and conceding just four.
Boss Martin Allen will be delighted to be managing a side at the right end of the table as opposed to struggling near the drop zone after his Barnet experience, and will be determined to make it last.
That will involve winning all of their home games and they are unbeaten in five league outings on their own patch going into this one.
Visitors Southend have made a decent start to the new season themselves and are eighth ahead of this encounter.
There's no denying that Paul Sturrock's side are formidable at home, with consecutive wins at Roots Hall key to their position but they aren't as strong away, Saturday's win at Cheltenham only their second in nine on the road.
A trip to the form side in the division is not ideal with momentum stilted on the road, and I have this one down as a home win.
Bet 1: Gillingham (HOME) to win @ 2.111/10
Over to the Champions League now, as Dinamo Zagreb welcome Porto in their Group A opener. The Croatians have an excellent home record and have been formidable domestically, but have a history of struggling when faced with quality opposition.
Last year is a case in point: they lost all three group games as hosts against Real Madrid, Ajax and Lyon. There's no shame in that perhaps, but the manner of those defeats - ten goals conceded, and just one scored - shows how much they were lacking.
They have a slightly easier group this time around, but still have to face the might of Paris St-Germain, Dinamo Kiev and tonight's opponents. Porto are on a cracking run, winning nine of their last 10 competitive fixtures.
Six games without a loss on the road means confidence will be high, with the visitors looking to build on their recent record of just one loss from four Champions League ties.
It's never easy travelling to Zagreb, but I think that, ultimately, Porto's superior quality will pay dividends here, and that makes them my second tip of the day, at decent odds.
Bet 2: Porto (AWAY) to win @ 1.991/1
