Follow The Money: Cash suggests a Sparkling bet at Hamilton

Hamilton Racecourse

Today's Follow the Money selections are involved at Kempton and Hamilton...

In the 15:50 maiden stakes at Kempton Intiba has been performing negatively on the exchange having drifted from 1.684/6 out to 2.0421/20. This 2 year old Godolphin filly showed good potential in her debut at Sailsbury 3 weeks ago but the race has since been proved to have been weak affair as the winner was beaten convincingly next time out. The race this afternoon has attracted some top stables and the debuts of Michael Stoute trained Playbill and the Henry Candy trained Pearl Street will both prove serious challenges to Dettori's mount.

At Hamilton the 16:10 6f Handicap sprint involves Sparking who has been supported in to a price of 3.45n/a from 4.67/2. Two of her three career wins have been completed around Hamilton, the most recent of which over similar to today's heavy ground when she looked better than ever, running keenly and keeping on well. Trainer Tom Dascombe has a good winning record at Hamilton and although this 5 year is pulling top weight she should have too much on her rivals today and the positive move on the exchange confirms this.

Ruscello races in the 1m4f Handicap at Kempton in the 16:50 and has been subject to considerable support having been backed from 7.26/1 in to 4.03/1. A winner 3 times already this season, once around this track and a strong performance amongst a quality field at Ascot last time out suggest that George Baker could take advantage of his rivals today aboard this 3 year old colt. Ideally suited by a strong pace he could really take advantage of this field this afternoon and the gamble on the exchange this morning confirms this.
