Dubai Carnival: Bell keen on Classic tilt

Michael Bell's globetrotter had been out of luck since taking the Grade One prize over a mile and a half 12 months ago.

But the five-year-old regained the winning thread back in Canada, after racing in Britain, Dubai, France and America, with a battling neck verdict over Al Khali in the hands of Jamie Spencer.

"It was very good and I'm delighted he went back there and won again," said Bell.

"He's deserved to win another nice race and it looks now like he's better suited going a bit further.

"We'll be looking towards maybe the Sheema Classic. In Dubai he ran very well in the Duty Free last year and this year.

"I think we'll campaign him around the Sheema Classic this time.

"We might give him a break and gear up towards Dubai next spring. If we don't give him a break he might go to Milan for their Group One in mid-October."
