Premier League on Betfair: Chelsea's unbeaten record goes and Arsenal lose again at the Britannia

Papiss Cisse was the hero at Newcastle on Saturday afternoon

It was a packed weekend of football in the Premier League, not least at Newcastle where Alan Pardew's men put Chelsea to the sword. Luke Moore rounds up all the action...

All the speculation about whether Jose Mourinho's Chelsea could emulate Arsenal's 'Invincibles' side is now over after they went down 2-1 at St James's Park on Saturday afternoon in a result matched at 85.084/1 in the Correct Score market.

Papiss Cisse came off the bench to open the scoring before adding a second 12 minutes from time. Cisse was matched at a big 26.025/1 to be the first goal scorer of the afternoon, and Didier Drogba's consolation five minutes after Cisse's second gave a glimmer of hope to the Blues, but alas it wasn't to be for them. They stay top of the table though, and are still odds-on 1.618/13 favourites to lift the league trophy come May.

Arsenal struggled yet again at the Britannia Stadium against Stoke, losing the game 3-2 in a scoreline matched at 60.059/1 in the Correct Score market. The Gunners' record there now stands at played ten and won just one, and it was clearly not going to be Arsene Wenger's day when Peter Crouch opened the scoring after just 19 seconds. He was matched at 11.010/1 in the First Goalscorer market, and Stoke are now just 2.767/4 to achieve a top ten finish this season.

In a battle down at the basement of the table, QPR ran out 2-0 winners over fellow strugglers Burnley at Loftus Road. Leroy Fer scored the opener for Rangers before Charlie Austin doubled their lead. Austin was later sent off, but Harry Redknapp's side were still able to close out the win. Their price on relegation now stands at 2.447/5, having been matched as low as 1.684/6 earlier in the season.

There were 0-0s aplenty in the other games on Saturday afternoon, with Liverpool-Sunderland, Hull-West Brom and Tottenham-Crystal Palace all finishing with goose eggs. All that means Liverpool are now 5.04/1 to finish in the top four this season, with Tottenham out at 9.08/1.

In the day's evening kick off, Manchester City were able to heap pressure on Mourinho's men with a solid win over Everton at the Etihad, and Manuel Pellegrini's men are now just three points off the top of the table.

On Sunday, West Ham came from a goal down to beat Swansea 3-1 at the Boleyn Ground. Wilfried Bony opened the scoring, but the Swans were unable to deal with Andy Carroll's size and presence in the box and his two headers were followed up by yet another goal from Diafra Sakho and the Hammers secured the win. 3-1 was matched at 36.035/1 in the Correct Score market, and Big Sam's men now find themselves priced at just 15.5n/a to finish in the top four having been matched as high as 260.0259/1 earlier in the season.

In Sunday's other game, Aston Villa squeezed past Leicester City 2-1 at Villa Park courtesy of goals from Ciaran Clarke and Alan Hutton. Villa actually went behind due to a Leonardo Ulloa goal (the Argentine was matched at 9.417/2 in the First Goalscorer market) but were able to battle back and move up to 11th in the table. Paul Lambert's men now sit at 5.69/2 to be relegated having traded at 3.052/1 earlier in the season. Leicester are now odds-on for the drop, at 1.758/11, and their afternoon was made worse when Paul Konchesky was sent off late on for a late tackle and scuffle with Hutton.
